So the other day I was watching Frances Ha (I’ve been on a Greta Gerwig kick lately. I loved Lady Bird!) and one of the songs from the soundtrack was Modern Love by David Bowie. I’ve heard the song before of course, but I thought to myself, “I love this song! It reminds me of movies from the 80’s.”
For the next week I proceeded to listen to the song every time I woke up in the morning and got ready for work. It made me feel like I was in a zany 80’s movie. Like OMG I have to get dressed because I’m LATE for this meeting as I grab a slice of toast with my teeth, kiss my husband and run out the door.
So my question to you is, what songs motivate you? What songs get you fired up and energized?
I asked my mom this question today and we came up with an entire playlist based on my love for 80’s David Bowie and 80’s movies soundtracks.
